the Producer/Director

a degree in Broadcast and Cable Production from the US, Vimala
Siva Wilkinson is no stranger to TV production. Her initial
introduction and experience working with production companies
in the US established a sound foundation for a career in TV
production. Vimala’s career in Malaysia started as a
producer with a local pay TV station and in 1997 she joined
ASTRO as a producer and director, after which she formed her
own independent production company, Camera Culture Productions
Sdn. Bhd.
 Casa
Impian is written, produced and directed by Vimala. The
30-minute programme with 13 episodes in its first season was
Vimala’s first project as an independent producer and
director working under Camera Culture Productions.
A close to the heart interest in Asian home and architectural
styles was the driving factor in the conceptualization and
production of Casa Impian. Working with artist Camelia,
the host of Casa Impian, the two formed a great team
that captured the essence of beautiful homes in Malaysia in
great styles and elegance to be presented to the Malaysian
audience through Casa Impian’s first season.
With Casa Impian’s quick popularity, the interior
design/ home makeover programme has now progressed into its
6th season with a large viewership from all over Malaysia
an Brunei.

Camera Culture
ormed
in October 2001, Camera Culture Productions Sdn Bhd is an
independent production company based in Malaysia specializing
in TV production. Camera Culture Productions produces 3 popular
TV programmes on Malaysia’s satellite TV, Astro. They
are Casa Impian hosted by Camelia in the initial
seasons and Malaysia’s favorite interior designer Eric
Leong in subsequent seasons. Named the hit interior
design programme [Malaysian Women’s
Weekly] Casa Impian is the pioneer in interior design
and home makeovers on television in Malaysia. Camera Culture
Productions intends to create a platform for this genre/concept
programmes.
